Pulaski Pop Tops Name Zach Dunnavant as General Manager

PULASKI, Tenn. — The Pulaski Pop Tops are proud to announce the hiring of Zach Dunnavant as the organization’s General Manager, ushering in an exciting new era of collegiate summer baseball in Pulaski.

A lifelong resident of Pulaski, Dunnavant brings deep community roots, extensive playing experience, and a decade of coaching knowledge to the role. His passion for both the game of baseball and the town he calls home made him a natural fit to lead the Pop Tops into their inaugural season.

“I’m excited to bring collegiate summer baseball to Pulaski,” said Dunnavant. “Our small town loves baseball, and I know this team will feel the support of our community as we move forward. I’m also excited to provide another family-friendly option for our area—giving our youth the chance to enjoy a fun night at the ballpark.”

Fans can expect a strong on-field product paired with an engaging game-day atmosphere.

“Fans can expect high-quality baseball along with fun entertainment throughout the season,” Dunnavant added. “We want every game to be an experience for families, kids, and baseball fans alike.”

Dunnavant’s journey to the General Manager position reflects both dedication and a deep connection to the sport. While the opportunity came unexpectedly, it quickly became a perfect match.

“I never even knew this would be an opportunity, but when it came about, people around me and the game brought my name up,” he said. “From there, it’s about my love for baseball and my love for Pulaski. I get to enjoy this role from both sides of that.”

A graduate of Giles County High School, Dunnavant played four years of baseball before continuing his collegiate career at Bethel University, where he also earned his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education. He later obtained his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Western Governors University.

For the past 10 years, Dunnavant has been a dedicated educator and high school baseball coach, developing young athletes both on and off the field. His leadership, experience, and commitment to community make him an ideal figure to guide the Pop Tops as they establish themselves in Pulaski.

Off the field, Dunnavant is a family man, married to his wife Taylor for five years. The couple recently welcomed their first child, a baby boy, into their family.

With Dunnavant at the helm, the Pulaski Pop Tops are poised to become a cornerstone of summer entertainment in the region, combining competitive collegiate baseball with a vibrant, family-friendly atmosphere.
